The History and Culture of Cyprus is among the oldest in the world. The first signs of civilization traced in archaeological excavations and research date back 9,000 years to the 7th millennium BC. Most of the ancient monuments and archaeological sites on the island are open to the public and visitors may, with the aid of inexpensive guide books, tour the sites.
Cyprus is currently an island divided in to two halves, the North and the South sides. The Northern side is Turkish and the southern side is Greek. The island is separated by the green line that runs through the capital city, Nicosia.

TURKEY
Turkey is one of the largest countries in Europe and the Middle East covering an area of approximately 800,000 sq km. It borders the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea. Because Turkey is positioned on an area where Europe meets Asia and is very close geographically to Africa, the country provides a link between the three continents. With one foot in the East and one in the West, it’s an explosion of cultures and influences.
Holidays in Turkey always include some dedicated sun-lounging .If it is just a break on the beach you’re looking for, Turkey holidays cater for that in abundance too, with an impressive 258 Blue Flag beaches scattered across the countries coastline. The coastline of sun-washed sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and vivacious resorts beckons.
Most of Turkey's tourist resorts have lost little of their native flavour. You’ll find sugar-cube towns, old castles and temples peppering many of the key sun-traps. And if it's history you're after, you couldn't ask for more. You will always receive a warm welcome in Turkey from the enthusiastic locals who will greet you with open arms into their very unique culture. Turkey can also be more cost effective. Our villas and apartments are excellent as always, but the prices can be considerably kinder on your budget. Being outside of the euro zone, prices for food, wine and clothing are usually always lower. So come to Turkey and leave feeling full of Turkish delight, you won’t regret it !
